I’m not ashamed to admit I’m that adult who goes to Disney World every year. My first ever trip to Disney World was in 2021 when I was 31 years old. The Disney magic has lured me back every single year since then!

But – I will admit that Disney can get very expensive very fast! Especially the park tickets, which keep getting more and more expensive every year.

That’s why most of the times I visit Disney, I skip the theme parks. My friends laugh at me when I tell them that 😝 But I’m telling you – there is so much free Disney magic to experience even outside the theme parks!

Of course, the parks are beautiful and I think everyone should visit Magic Kingdom at least once in their lifetime. But, I also get that Disney can get expensive especially if you have a big family or you have a tight budget.

So, if you’re wondering how to experience Disney magic on a budget, keep reading for a list of 50 FREE things you can do at Disney World without a park ticket!

Many first-time visitors may not know that Disney World has an amazing free transportation system. Mastering Disney transportation is such a valuable skill because you can use it to access many free experiences throughout Disney World!

📍 Important Facts About Disney World Transportation:
  1. No park ticket needed: The entrance to the monorail, bus, boat, and Skyliner is located outside the park entrances, so you don’t need a park ticket to use it

The Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite resort in Disney. I’ve never stayed here (because $$$) but I try to make a stop here on every Disney trip. The architecture, landscaping, food, and even the music they play makes you feel like you’re on a tropical island.

Guests who are staying at the resort get a lei placed around their neck during check-in, BUT you can ask a front desk member to have a lei placed around you even if you’re not staying at the resort!

While you’re at the Polynesian Village Resort, try to catch a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the electrical water pageant (mentioned above). It’s free for all visitors, even if you are not staying at the resort.

49. Create your own Disney penny souvenirs

One of the most budget-friendly experiences at Disney is collecting pressed pennies. You can find penny-press machines scattered throughout Disney World resorts and Disney Springs. It’s a cheap souvenir for just a dollar!
