It’s officially my favorite season – fall! I seriously love this time of year. The weather is perfect, the scenery is beautiful, and there are so many yummy treats to try! Every year, I love making a fall bucket list and in this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite fall bucket list ideas with you!

There’s something on this list for everyone – whether you like apple picking, cozy activities, taking fall road trips, or eating pumpkin-flavored everything. You’ll also find some family-friendly fall bucket list ideas if you’re looking for festive activities to do with the kids this season!

Let’s start off with some classic fall things to do that are my go-to every season! These are the traditional fall activities that I never get tired of and make sure to do them every single year. It’s also a great way to spend time with friends and family during the season!

  1. Visit a pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin
  2. Carve a pumpkin
  3. Apple picking at a local orchard
  4. Go through a corn maze
  5. Go on a hayride at a local farm
  6. Have a fall/Halloween movie marathon
  7. Shop for seasonal produce at the farmers market
  8. Attend a county or state fair
  9. Roast marshmallows over a fire pit
  10. Jump or play in a pile of leaves

Outdoor Fall Activities

Fall is my favorite season to spend time outdoors – I hate how hot and humid it can get here in the Northeast over the summer! Since the weather is crisp and cooler in the autumn months, I’m always finding reasons to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. Here are some of my favorite outdoor activities to enjoy in the fall.

  1. Go on a nature trail for leaf-peeping
  2. Try a new hiking trail
  3. Spend a weekend camping
  4. Kayak or canoe across a lake
  5. Go on a scenic bike ride
  6. Visit a national or state park during peak fall foliage

Family-Friendly Fall Fun

I’m not the biggest fan of spooky and creepy things, but if you are – this list is for you! Don’t worry there’s some less scary activities on this list too if you like the creepy stuff without the horror 😆

My favorite part of fall is cooking, baking, and eating all of the yummy seasonal treats! Whether it’s making my own butternut squash soup or baking a fresh loaf of pumpkin bread at home, it’s the perfect way to spend a cozy fall Sunday afternoon.

  2. Drink a pumpkin spice latte
  3. Drink a maple latte
  4. Make a cozy bowl of chili at home
  5. Indulge in hot chocolate at a cozy cafe
